Surviving the Applewhites by Stephanie S. Tolan

This was an enjoyable book. Who would have thought that putting on The Sound of Music using a culturally diverse cast of people playing the Von Trapp family would work?

Messenger by Lois Lowry

Lois Lowry did a much better job with The Giver and Gathering Blue. There was much left out of this story and characters that were missed. I was not fond of the ending at all.
