The Witch's Boy by Michael Gruber
What a great book! This has now made it to my sparce list of favorite books. The author has a mastery of wording that is truly wordsmithing. He weaves fairy tales into the story in such a way that you don't realize you are reading the Cinderella story or Rumplestilskin until you're almost finished with it. There are many more fairy tales in this book too. I wasn't sure how the author would end this book without ruining it. The ending is enchanting just like a fairy tale. The size (377 pages) is a little overwhelming to some but it reads fast. One of my favorites of this year and of all time!
